Nate grew up in Durham, NC and graduated from Appalachian State University in 2004. It was there that he met his lovely wife and best friend Joni Keyes Horne, who also graduated from ASU. They were married in 2004 and moved to Charlotte in 2005. Nate graduated from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary (M.Div) in 2005.

At the age of 15, Nate came to Christ and fell deeply in love with His Savior during his later years of college. He and Joni began serving the youth at St. Giles in 2006 He is deeply passionate about shepherding people into the love of God and a mature walk of discipleship in Christ. In many ways, he sees the vision of TELEIOS as God’s vision for His Church.

Nate loves spending time with Joni, watching movies, listening to any Delirious or Lecrae album, reading good theology, freestyling, comedians and spending time with friends. He and Joni also love to spend time with their families and hang out at Camp Joy where they were married.
